The Hydrogen Business Unit (BU H²) aims to bring renewable hydrogen and its derivatives (green or low-carbon H², SAF, e-methanol, LH²…) to market.

The BU H² consists of about twenty people, divided into different teams serving project development. The Hydrogen Carried Offer Sales Manager reports to the Hydrogen Development and Applications Director. They work within a team of hydrogen business developers and market experts with whom they collaborate closely. They rely on other BU H² departments to develop their portfolio of prospects and clients (Engineering Team, Industrial Management, Regulatory Service, Legal Service, Public Relations…). The BU H² also calls on external consultants to support its missions.
Their role is essential within the BU H². The position holder will need to build and carry the hydrogen carried commercial offer.

The position is based in Paris or Montpellier, with frequent travel throughout France.

Main Tasks

The Hydrogen Carried Offer Sales Manager is responsible for:

  • Structuring and developing the hydrogen commercial offer in close collaboration with the pricing team;
  • Prospecting new clients in close connection with hydrogen business developers and hydrogen project managers;
  • Implementing a strategy and follow-up for key accounts;
  • Implementing a strategy and follow-up for diffuse consumption users;
  • Analyzing and understanding the needs of these client users;
  • Actively conducting negotiations for term sheets and long-term contracts until their conclusion (negotiation, drafting, and signing);
  • Monitoring regulatory developments and market fundamentals for a thorough understanding of the issues;
  • Participating in dedicated professional trade shows.

Skills Required

  • Reporting capability;
  • Being a field person and ready for frequent travel;
  • Proficiency in English (while the scope is the French territory, some negotiations are conducted in English);
  • Proven writing ability in drafting commercial contracts.

  • Extensive knowledge of the industrial gas ecosystem;
  • Ability to quickly contact key accounts;
  • Applicable knowledge in the commercial development of an innovative market.

This position will not meet your expectations if you are not interested in travel, contract drafting, or if you are not proactive (everything is to be built).
