In Tunisia, Qair is awarded the third round of the solar tender launched by the government
In Tunisia, Qair won the third round of tender which was launched by the Ministry of Energy, Mines and Energy Transition. The award ceremony took place on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at the headquarters of the Ministry in the presence of Mr. Mongi Marzouk, Minister of Energy, Mines and Energy Transition, and Mr. Omar Ben Hassine Bey, in charge of public relations of Qair in Tunisia.
This result awards Qair’s development efforts in Tunisia for the past five years. Located in the municipality of Feriana, Governorate of Kasserine, the 10 MWp solar power plant project participates in the promotion of renewable energies in Tunisia, which objective is reaching a share of 30% of renewable energies in the national energy mix by 2030. Once the construction is completed, this solar power plant will produce the equivalent of the annual consumption of around 13,500 inhabitants.
