The Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) Engineer works under the direction of the SCADA and Communications Manager, who is part of the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) team at the headquarters.

The O&M team currently consists of 8 people working on various tasks (asset management, O&M, contract management, performance analysis, SCADA, and communication) and is mainly based in Montpellier.

Mission coordination is handled by the team members themselves on a daily basis, plus a weekly meeting. Our organization is centered around the importance of teamwork.

Our team collaborates with O&M teams from different international subsidiaries several times a week. Communication is intercultural.

The SCADA Engineer ensures the compliance of equipment with specifications, its implementation, and optimal usage. He/she plays a key role as a prescriber in new projects and SCADA renewals.

The position is based in Montpellier.

Main Tasks

The SCADA Engineer’s missions are as follows:

– Update the SCADA specifications for electrical substations.
– Update the SCADA specifications for Photovoltaic (PV) and Power Plant Controller (PPC).
– Create specifications for the storage section in collaboration with subsidiaries and the storage manager of the construction department.
– Lead the commercial negotiation and technical selection of the SCADA package with subsidiaries and support from the construction department.
– Oversee the deployment of communication cabinets and ensure compliance with cybersecurity rules with IT support.
– Ensure that all assets under construction meet SCADA specifications with the support of the construction project managers.
– Develop functional test checklists and monitor commissioning during the Operations & Maintenance handover of assets.
– Verify the As-Built Documentation (DOE) for the SCADA package.
– Consolidate feedback and propose improvements for the SCADA package.
– Implement internal training for our Operations & Maintenance and Operational Control Center (OCC) teams on SCADA.
– Monitor asset integrations and performance in the group’s hypervisor with performance engineer support.
– Provide monthly reporting to management and headquarters, as per the established format.

– Proficiency in communication protocols (IEC 104) and system architectures.
– Ability to work in a team.
– Proficiency in technical English.

– Advanced knowledge of cybersecurity.
– Familiarity with the renewable energy sector through prior experience.
– Proficiency in an additional language.

This position will not meet your expectations if you do not have an interest in renewable electricity production systems.
