Morocco: Qair helps rebuild a village

Qair is supporting the Amal Biladi association, which is helping to rebuild the village of Tajgalt, in the province of Taroudant, which was hit by the earthquake in September 2023.

Amal Biladi, renowned for its innovative approach to local development, has undertaken to contribute to the reconstruction by playing an active part in the creation of an after-school building in Tajgalt, in the commune of Tafingoult, Taroudant province. The aim of the project is to provide a secure 100 m2 space equipped with sanitary facilities, multi-purpose rooms and educational services such as coding courses and artistic activities. The aim is to meet the essential needs of the village’s children and teenagers, who have been severely affected by the disaster.

This partnership, initiated by Qair Maroc teams, also includes support for local women’s agricultural cooperatives, with a three-year mentoring programme. The programme will cover technical and commercial training and the use of solar energy for lighting, with the aim of empowering the women in these communities.
