Poland: Qair acknowledged 2023 cPPA Leader

Wrocław, May 7, 2024 – Qair, a European renewable energy company, has been recognized as the 2023 cPPA Leader in Poland at the prestigious Re-Source Poland “Green Energy for Business” conference, organized by the RE-Source Poland Hub foundation.

In 2023, Qair Polska secured contracts for over 4TWh of green energy with prominent global brands in the manufacturing and retail sectors such as local convenience store chain Żabka and sports retailer Decathlon. This volume of energy could sustain approximately 1.8 million households over a span of 15 years.

The momentum of energy transition in Poland is accelerating, with companies showing a growing interest in adopting green energy practices. Qair is committed to supporting these industry leaders in attaining their ESG objectives by providing customized, reliable and sustainable electricity solutions. This aligns with our strategy to evolve into a green utility, delivering holistic renewable energy offerings,” says Remigiusz Nowakowski, vice-president at Qair Polska.

Qair executes its growth strategy within the Polish renewable energy sector, actively engaging in the nation’s energy transition by steadily augmenting its portfolio of wind and photovoltaic power facilities. In Poland, Qair aims at surpassing 500 MW of cumulative capacity in 2024.

cPPA agreements (Corporate Power Purchase Agreement) are long-term contracts for the purchase of electricity, concluded directly between the producer and the energy recipient. They allow you to reduce energy purchase costs and provide greater independence from market fluctuations in energy prices.
