Within the Administrative and Finance Department for the Africa and Indian Ocean region of the QAIR Group, Qair Africa Ltd (the “Company”), the Financial Controlling Manager will have the primary responsibility of ensuring the reliability of financial data and overseeing the economic performance management of Qair Africa.
The Financial Controlling Manager will work closely with the Company’s CFO, subsidiary Managing Directors, as well as the administrative and finance, development, construction, and operations teams of the QAIR Group and or the Company’s subsidiaries.
The position is based in Cascavelle, Black River District, Mauritius, and includes a preliminary onboarding phase of several months in Paris. Quarterly international travel is required.

Main Tasks
The Financial Controlling Manager Africa and Indian Ocean is responsible for the following missions within the Africa and Indian Ocean perimeter:
1.Management Control and Internal Control
- Supervise and coordinate management control activities as well as the execution of the compliance and internal control program of the Company and its subsidiaries, in accordance with QAIR Group procedures;
- Implement and continuously improve performance management tools (dashboards, key performance indicators, etc.) required for activity monitoring and reporting to Management and shareholders;
- Monitor and analyze quarterly reporting and accounting of subsidiaries within the Africa and Indian Ocean perimeter;
- Supervise the review and validation of financial statements under local accounting standards and or IFRS;
- Participate in the implementation and rollout of reporting tools within the Group.
2.Budget Management
- Supervise and coordinate the preparation of budgets for Qair Africa Ltd and its subsidiaries in collaboration with operational teams, and present consolidated summaries to governing bodies;
- Monitor subsidiary performance against the annual budget;
- Analyze variances between forecasts and actual results and propose corrective actions;
- Actively contribute to cost optimization for projects and operations.
3.Project Monitoring and Management
- Ensure financial monitoring of renewable energy projects (development, construction, operation);
- Collaborate with subsidiary teams and project finance teams to ensure reliable financial reporting and meet reporting needs throughout project phases;
- Participate in the structuring of project financing (bank debt, equity, grants), particularly during lender due diligences related to costs, budgets, compliance, etc.;
- Contribute to cash management: liquidity monitoring, cash flow forecasting, operating budget planning, and participation in strategic investment transactions;
- Collaborate with Group tax teams on matters related to tax consolidation, structuring, or reorganization of subsidiaries or entities within the perimeter.
4.Management and Training
- Supervise and support the structuring and development of finance teams within subsidiaries in the region;
- Ensure skills development of teams on financial control tools, reporting systems, and internal procedures to achieve operational excellence;
- Support the selection of accounting and audit firms for subsidiaries, negotiate and monitor their mandates in collaboration with subsidiary management.
Skills Required
Education and Experience
- Higher education degree in Accounting, Management, or Finance (equivalent to a Master’s degree or internationally recognized professional qualification);
- Confirmed experience of 6 to 10 years in audit firms, accounting, management control, or financial controlling roles, ideally in renewable energy, industry, or infrastructure sectors;
- Experience in Africa or in an international environment is a strong asset.
Technical Skills
- Strong command of accounting standards including French GAAP, OHADA GAAP, and IFRS;
- Excellent knowledge of management and reporting tools (Excel, ERP systems, BI tools);
- Understanding of financial challenges related to renewable energy projects.

Languages
- Fluent French required;
- Professional proficiency in English is essential, both written and spoken.
