Qair Tunisia, a subsidiary of Qair International in Tunisia, has built 20 MW and secured nearly 300 MW of solar projects in Tunisia, while developing a project pipeline of approximately 200 MW.
Within the Qair Tunisia team, the Renewable Energy Plant Operations Manager is responsible for managing the operation and performance of the renewable energy portfolio, composed of solar and wind projects.
The position is based in Tunis, with travel required throughout Tunisia and abroad. During construction and commissioning phases, a strong on-site presence is expected.

Main Tasks
The Renewable Energy Plant Operations Manager is responsible for:

Operations management
- Define procedures and operating methods, develop global activity indicators (KPIs);
- Ensure, prepare, and monitor the transfer-to-operations and acceptance phases;
- Lead production activities: organize work, ensure team safety and energy and environmental performance, manage emergency situations;
- Supervise maintenance activities: plan the multi-year maintenance program (technical shutdowns, on-call duties), develop a business continuity plan (BCP);
- Track and assess incidents and interventions, propose corrective actions in coordination with support departments (engineering, construction, procurement, logistics);
- Manage the operational relationship with the client and with STEG (billing, incidents, works, etc.).

Team management
- Set individual objectives for production, maintenance, and continuous improvement;
- Lead supervisors and their teams (shift supervisors 3×8, shift crews, operators, temporary workers), and support their technical skills development;
- Conduct individual evaluations, contribute to defining the training plan;
- Supervise 24/7 scheduling of operations and shift teams (attendance, rotating on-call duties, leave, replacements).

Monitoring economic and technical performance
- Analyze KPIs, identify gaps, assess human and material resource needs, implement corrective measures;
- Manage the budget, control expenses, monitor production assets, optimize the P&L;
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives regarding safety, facilities, production and maintenance processes, and energy transmission networks;
- Propose technical solutions and investment projects (facility modifications, equipment modernization, service procurement).

Compliance with regulatory requirements
- Ensure application of the QHSEE policy (Quality, Health & Safety, Environment, Energy), applicable standards, and regulatory requirements related to equipment and operations (including ICPE-type sites);
- Monitor environmental analyses and mandatory controls (air emissions, waste), ensure compliance, and plan drills (emergency response tests);
- Communicate with local authorities and nearby stakeholders.

Additional missions
- Monitor technological developments in processes and equipment;
- Define the procurement strategy: prepare specifications, select suppliers;
- Participate in public-private tenders and subcontractor selection.
Skills Required
With a Master’s degree (engineering or equivalent), the candidate has significant experience in operating power plants, ideally within the renewable energy sector.
He/She has strong communication and writing skills, and a solid network of potential local partners.
He/She is comfortable with standard IT tools.
Additionally, he/she is rigorous, methodical, enjoys teamwork, and is capable of working with a high level of autonomy.
