The International Financial Controller will join a team of 9 colleagues, most of whom are experienced professionals, within a fast-growing environment. He/she will be responsible for the financial control of several international subsidiaries of the group, across some of the 20 countries where we operate.

The position is based in Montpellier. Occasional international travel is to be expected.

Main Tasks

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring and analyzing the quarterly reporting and accounting of international subsidiaries;

  • Tracking the performance of subsidiaries against the annual budget;

  • Providing day-to-day support in structuring the finance departments of subsidiaries;

  • Validating financial statements in local GAAP and/or IFRS;

  • Participating in the annual budgeting process for the group’s subsidiaries, both in France and abroad;

  • Ensuring the proper application of group procedures in subsidiaries (accounting and analytical methods);

  • Analyzing local accounting standards and practices to ensure alignment with group policies;

  • Contributing to the implementation of analysis tools and the deployment of reporting tools across the group (as part of ongoing process redesign).

Skills Required

The following skills are essential for the role:

  • Solid knowledge of management control and/or audit, ideally acquired through relevant academic training;

  • Excellent command of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel;

  • Fluency in both English and French, written and spoken, is required;

  • Strong autonomy and organizational skills;

  • Ability to adopt a Business Partner mindset in a role that requires strategic perspective and a cross-functional understanding of group-level challenges.

 

The following skills will set you apart:

  • Proficiency in Power BI and other management tools is a plus;

  • Comfortable working in an international environment;

  • Strong team spirit.
