Paris, March 24, 2025 – Qair is pleased to announce the awarding of a photovoltaic project and the appointment of Krzysztof Wojtysiak as its new Country Director for Italy.
Located in Castellammare, Sicily, the 26 MW PV project has been secured in the 16th tender of the FER 1 Decree administered by GSE (Gestore dei Servizi Energetici), the national energy agency.
This recent procedure concluded Italy’s incentive program for renewable energy, allocating 457.6 MW across solar, wind, and hydro facilities. Focus now shifts to the upcoming FER-X Decree, which will introduce fresh support mechanisms to promote renewable energy expansion.
Continued Growth in Italy
Krzysztof has been an integral part of Qair since the inception of Qair Polska, where he played a pivotal role in its creation and growth, transforming it into the thriving subsidiary it is today. He also led the establishment of Qair in Montenegro and continues to oversee operations there, where the company has progressed from initial achievements to recent notable milestones.
The Group is advancing rapidly in the Italian renewable energy sector.
Recently, Qair commissioned its first solar park in Marrubiù, Sardinia, which complements its existing wind farm in Piedmont. The team in Italy is gearing up to commence construction of nearly 100 MW of authorized solar projects. Operating from Potenza and Milan, Qair is positioning itself as one of the most dynamic players in the Peninsula with the development of a portfolio of wind, solar and renewable hydrogen projects totaling 1.5 GW.
