Paris, December 19, 2024 – Qair has received planning permission for the Straws Hadley Solar Farm, a solar installation of c. 50 MWp located in Aylesbury. This milestone marks the third major solar project of the Group approved in the United Kingdom in 2024, following Lark Hill in Rochford and Washdyke Farm in Folkingham.
The necessary grid connection applications for these solar projects have been successfully submitted and approved by the Distribution Network Operator (DNO). We are currently awaiting confirmation of a grid connection date, which will signal the commencement of the construction phase.
The approval for the Straws Hadley Solar Farm comes four months after Qair’s acquisition of Green Switch Capital. It underscores the company’s growth trajectory in the country and brings the company’s total approved solar energy capacity in 2024 to 140.9 MWp.
About Qair in the UK

GSC’s pipeline of over 15 GW, with first projects to be commissioned in 2026, adds to Qair’s existing portfolio in the UK, which already includes offshore wind, energy from waste, and onshore renewable projects.
