New Qair Offices in N’Djamena: A Hub for Renewable Energy Development in Chad
Located in N’Djamena, the new Qair offices will serve as a central operational base for the company’s activities in Chad. The team, led by Marc Galinier, Sub-Saharan Africa Director at Qair, will focus on project management, local partnerships, and business development. This strengthened presence enables Qair to deepen its engagement with local stakeholders and deliver tailored energy solutions that address the unique challenges of the Chadian market and the broader sub-Saharan region.
Advancing Chad’s Energy Transition: Qair’s Solar projects in Gassi and Lamadji
Earlier this year, Qair launched the construction of two solar power plants in Gassi and Lamadji, each with a 15 MWp capacity. The projects are equipped with 4 MW / 4 MWh battery storage systems to improve electrical grid stability. Once operational, the plants will generate a combined 65 GWh of clean energy annually, enough to meet the energy needs of approximately 260,000 people.
According to Marc Galinier, Sub-Saharan Africa Director at Qair: “The opening of our offices in N’Djamena and the progress of the Gassi and Lamadji projects reflect Qair’s dedication to supporting Chad’s energy transition. These initiatives are designed to provide reliable, sustainable electricity while fostering local economic growth and employment.”
