Qair’s President Louis Blanchard joins French Presidential Delegation in Greece to advance European energy sovereignty

Paris, 30 April 2026 – Independent renewable energy company Qair is honored to announce that its President, Louis Blanchard, was part of the official French delegation accompanying President Emmanuel Macron during his state visit to Greece on April 24–25, 2026. This invitation underscores Qair’s pivotal role in advancing France’s energy sovereignty and its recognition as a key player in the European renewable energy sector.

Strengthening European Collaboration on Energy and Industry

During the visit, Mr. Blanchard attended the France-Greece Economic Forum at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center in Athens. The forum focused on energy transition, technological innovation, and industry cooperation, reinforcing Qair’s commitment to fostering cross-border partnerships for a sustainable, low-carbon future.

A defining moment of the visit came as Greek Prime Minister Kyriákos Mitsotákis reaffirmed energy as Europe’s top priority for the next five years—calling for energy security, competitive pricing, and accelerated investment in renewables. At Qair, we welcome this clear commitment and stand ready to act. With deep local expertise in Greece, a proven track record in innovative renewable solutions, and a pan-European pipeline of over 16 GW, Qair is uniquely positioned to help turn this vision into reality—delivering the projects, partnerships, and technological advancements needed to meet Greece’s and Europe’s energy ambitions.

A call to accelerate Greece’s renewable energy deployment

This delegation and forum have been an opportunity to remind the Greek government that accelerating approval processes is essential to unlocking the country’s renewable energy potential. While Greece has made significant strides in setting ambitious decarbonisation goals, delays in administrative procedures, particularly for grid connections, continue to slow progress. Qair’s projects in Greece, including large-scale solar and storage initiatives, are ready to deploy but require swift action from local authorities to move forward.

"Being part of this delegation is a testament to Qair’s commitment to driving the energy transition and supporting Europe’s strategic autonomy. We are particularly encouraged by Prime Minister Mitsotákis’ clear focus on energy as a top priority for Greece and Europe. His emphasis on energy security, competitive prices, and renewable energy investment resonates deeply with our mission at Qair. Our participation reflects the trust placed in our ability to deliver innovative, sustainable solutions that strengthen Europe’s energy resilience. We stand ready to work with Greek partners to turn these ambitions into reality, rapidly and efficiently."
