WWS & Solma – Poland

Commissioned in 2019, the group of solar projects known as QPV KP1 & QPV DS2 were Qair’s first independently-realized PV investments in Poland – and a springboard for transforming the country’s energy mix. The projects group together 23 solar farms totalling a capacity of 20.8 MW. Every year, they produce 25 GWh, enabling a reduction in CO2 emissions of 20,000 tonnes annually.

Commissioning

Both QPV KP1 & QPV DS2 are made up of around a dozen small PV farms of up to 1 MW, located in the central Polish regions of Kujawsko-Pomorskie and Dolnośląskie. Qair’s team was responsible for preparing and installing the sites, and we continue to operate and manage all assets.

The success of these projects has helped to drive the growth of Qair and solar energy in Poland, paving the way for larger-scale projects such as our Kalisz Pomorski photovoltaic power plant, opened in 2023 with a capacity of 60 MW.
