Established in 2016 with the aim of creating a channel that supports and develops industry-related progress, the Federation of Icelandic Industries’ Progress Fund has awarded Qair a ISK 2,500,000 grant for legal and regulatory environmental research on green hydrogen production in Iceland.
The Fund, which has awarded a total of ISK 8 million in grants to 4 projects, aims at advancing industrial, vocational, and technical studies to increase productivity and overall strengthen Iceland’s industrial development.
The 3 other winning projects are:
- The Master Painters’ Association, receiving a ISK 1,000,000 grant to translate, print and distribute an introductory brochure to ensure that all buyers adopt the painter’s working methods in a coordinated manner;
- Eiríkur Ástvald Magnússon and Sylgja Dögg Sigurjónsdóttir receiving a ISK 2,000,000 grant to analyze the status of study materials regarding moisture control;
- A professional group of companies in the printing industry within the Confederation of Icelandic Industries receiving a ISK 2,500,000 grant for an educational campaign on the sustainability of the paper and printing industry. The educational campaign is carried out in collaboration with the European association Two sides and Icelandic foresters.
