SDGs in Action: Qair Group joins forces worldwide to reduce inequalities

For the fourth consecutive year, Qair Group has mobilised its agencies worldwide for a high-impact mission: partnering with local charities to advance the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This annual initiative underscores Qair’s commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR), sustainability, and global equity.

“Qair for the Planet” 2025 challenge: A global call to action for SDG 10

In 2025, the “Qair for the Planet” challenge focused on SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities, a UN goal aimed at empowering and promoting the social, economic, and political inclusion of all, regardless of age, gender, disability, race, ethnicity, origin, religion, or economic status by 2030.

Each Qair subsidiary was challenged to select a local charity and design a high-impact project aligned with SDG 10. The winning team, Qair’s Lyon office, secured a €5,000 prize to donate to their chosen cause. Yet, the true success lay in the creativity and dedication of all participating teams, whose efforts underscored Qair’s commitment to sustainable practices and corporate social responsibility.

Supporting isolated women in exile

Qair’s team in Lyon offered isolated women in exile a guided nature hike led by volunteer naturalists and a visit to a local organic farm where each participant took home a basket of fresh products straight from the farm. As winners of the challenge, the team donated €5,000 to their partner charity, PasserElles Buissonnières, to fund psychological support sessions and help women cope with symptoms of PTSD.

Fostering employment opportunities for young people with disabilities

In Greece, Qair partnered with the Swallow Association which gathers parents, guardians, and friends of people with disabilities. In collaboration with the Municipality of Agia Paraskevi in Athens, Qair and the Swallow Association organised a training event at Το καφεδάκι μας (“Our little coffee”), an inclusive coffee shop. The event aimed to train young people with intellectual disabilities for careers in catering and equip them with the essential job skills needed to increase their employment opportunities.

Meal distribution to homeless people

Our team in Reims supported Deux Mains C’est Maintenant, a charity that conducts street outreach to homeless people. They collect food donation, prepare hot meals, provide clothing, hygiene products, and administrative support, and direct individuals to appropriate reintegration services. The Qair team cooked and then distributed meals to around fifty people, including children, who were living in extremely precarious conditions.

Food distribution to families in need

The Spanish team supported the Madrid Food Bank Foundation‘s lentil campaign, helping to pack six tons of lentils. They then prepared complete food baskets, including all essential items, which were collected by the association for distribution to families in need.

Facilitating access to education

The Qair team in Romania supported Casa Buna, a local association aiming at facilitating the access to education for romani children. They helped prepare for a kindergarten’s inauguration, including gardening, setting up access, and clearing the garden space for the event. Through weekly tutoring lessons, and the provision of spaces for education, the association hopes to increase the chances of the kids for better social inclusion.

Raising awareness about mental health support

In Iceland, Qair teamed up with Geðhjálp, which aim is to improve the country’s mental health services, protect rights and combat prejudice through advocacy, counseling and sharing of information and knowledge. Our local team helped the organisation promote their new peer-run mental health respite, hosting a “Connection Café” at the University of Iceland with discussions, activities, and food to raise awareness about community-based mental health support.

Opening doors to renewable energy career

With the support of Elevate, which acts as a bridge between local schools and businesses across Liverpool to prepare the workforce of tomorrow,  Qair UK inspired teens from disadvantaged backgrounds to explore renewable energy careers. Students designed a solar farm using real maps, constraints, and examples from Qair projects. Selected participants visited the office to experience each department, bringing their designs to life.

Providing digital equipment and education

Qair Maroc partnered with Amal Biladi, a charity which supports rural and mountainous communities by promoting inclusive eco-tourism, regenerative agriculture, and local crafts for sustainable development. After the 2023 earthquake, it launched emergency aid, eco-resilient housing (“Nouala”), and community rebuilding. The Qair team continued their ongoing support to a village severely impacted by the earthquake by collecting laptops for a new youth center and running educational workshops on computer skills and renewable energy for local youth.

Creating lasting bonds between disabled people and society

In Italia, Qair participated in a Nordic walking session with disabled people and their families. Their partner charity Dopo di noi“, which name means“after us”, reflects the urgent question parents of disabled individuals face: “Who will care for them when we’re gone?”. Their response is to foster real inclusion through sports, crafts, and community engagement, creating lasting bonds between their children and society.

Empowering vulnerable women and families

The team in Brazil supported Lar Amigos de Jesus, a non-profit organisation that provides shelter, care, and medical support for children and adolescents undergoing cancer treatment. It also offers emotional and social assistance to their families, promoting dignity, hope, and inclusion. The team offered free health services (screenings, hygiene kits) and empowerment workshops (haircuts, skincare, food prep) to boost well-being, self-esteem, and income opportunities for the children’s mothers.

Creating equal work opportunities for disadvantaged youth

With the support of Joblinge, a charity which connects businesses and young adults facing difficulties during their start into higher education and vocational training, our team in Leipzig supported disadvantaged youth by offering workshops that focused on refining CVs and application portfolios, and exploring career opportunities in the renewable energy sector.

Fostering disability awareness, tolerance and equality

The Paris team partnered with the Lutèce Club Handisport, which promotes inclusive sports for players with physical disabilities and visual impairments. The team took part in workshops on visual impairment in sports, featuring goalball, blind football and guiding techniques to safely assist blind individuals in everyday situations. The club’s mission goes beyond sports, fostering disability awareness, tolerance and equality.

Empowering refugees

Qair’s Munich team supported hpkj’s charitable mission, focusing on social welfare, youth, healthcare, and education to promote equality. They revitalized green spaces at a refugee center housing 500 people, provided job application training (CVs, interviews), German conversation practice, and distributed clothing donations.

Promoting the prevention of breast and cervical cancers

In Poland, Qair took part in the “Breast Always First” Women’s charity run to promote the prevention of breast and cervical cancer, and to encourage the social integration of women and cancer survivors and their families.

Promoting social inclusion for young carers

Our team in Edinburgh organised a paddleboarding outing for children who attend the Edinburgh Young Carers organisation and take care of someone at home. This gave them the chance to enjoy a fun, inclusive day and connect with peers facing similar challenges.

Tackling student poverty

The Montpellier team helped Delivraid, a food aid app designed to tackle student poverty. They gathered eight bags of non-perishable food and hygiene essentials, then partnered with volunteers to distribute kits to students throughout the city.

Beyond the competition: lasting bonds and sustainable change

The “Qair for the Planet” challenge does more than award prizes, it:

  • Strengthens team cohesion across international offices.
  • Proves that small actions create big change in the fight against inequality.
  • Reinforces Qair’s leadership in sustainable energy and social responsibility.

By uniting employees worldwide, Qair demonstrates that collective effort can drive meaningful progress toward the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
