Thistle Wind Partners (TWP), a partnership between DEME, Qair, and Aspiravi is pleased to confirm it has now successfully secured the rights to develop two projects under the ScotWind leasing round after finalising the Option to Lease Agreements with Crown Estate Scotland.
The two projects are :
- Cluaran Deas Ear, a 1 GW fixed foundation project located about 44 km to the east of Aberdeen in the Moray Firth and
- Cluaran Ear-Thuath, a 1 GW floating foundation project located about 35 km to the east of the Orkney Islands.
TWP is looking forward to further engaging with government authorities, fellow developers, communities, and businesses to fully understand local capabilities and define ways to work together. A particular focus will be placed on breaking down barriers to new entrants to the job market, creating new skilled and energy transition jobs, and ensuring through investment that Scottish ports are ready and in the best position to seize an offshore wind pipeline of opportunities.
