Qair, the only renewable energy producer to join the 2023 French Tech 120 class
Paris, February 20, 2023 – Qair, a leading independent renewable energy producer, is proud to announce its selection in the 2023 class of the French Tech 120 program.
The French Tech 120 is a French government program launched in 2019 to support the most successful companies with the capacity to become world-class technology leaders.
2023, a higher standard class
The French Tech 120 is aimed at high-potential companies, selected according to two modalities: either fundraising of at least €40 million, to embody investor confidence, or hyper-growth, to embody customer confidence.
For the first time since the program’s inception, the class of 2023 also takes a more comprehensive approach to performance, incorporating issues of ecological transition, gender equality and inclusion.
For Qair, this recognition reflects the company’s commitment to the energy transition. Since its creation, the Group has made it its mission to provide clean and affordable renewable energy for all. It develops solutions that are both innovative (floating wind, hydrogen, tidal power) and proven (onshore and offshore wind and solar, waste-to-energy and hydropower), with an emphasis on the robustness of its projects.
“We are pleased to have been selected as one of the winning companies of the French Tech 120,” says Louis Blanchard, Qair’s Chairman. “This recognition confirms that our company is on the right track to becoming a major renewable energy player in France and around the world. We are committed to continue developing innovative solutions to help accelerate the energy transition.“
Qair is an independent renewable energy producer developing, financing, building, and operating solar, onshore and offshore wind, hydroelectric, tidal energy, waste-to-energy and green hydrogen production and storage projects.
With more than 1 GW of capacity in operation or under construction, the group’s 550 employees are developing a portfolio pipeline of 30 GW in 20 countries across Europe, Latin America and Africa.
